Mounts and Items

 

Mounts: These important parts of a travelling lifestyle has all of their rules listed below along with associated prices for keeping them. Although, we’ll begin with prices for the ease of searching. Note - if a player wants to rent a Mount they can pay half the price, regaining half of this total upon returning the Mount. To house a Mount (assuming they don’t let the Mount roam the wilds to feed) costs 3SP for food per week, and if they need protection (in the Summer or Winter months) then they cost an additional 20SP to stable per week, or 4 SP per day.

  • Camel - 50 GP; 20m Movement Speed; Carrying Capacity of 240kg

  • Donkey (or Mule) - 8 GP; 15m Movement Speed; Carrying Capacity 210kg

  • Horse (Draft) - 50 GP; 15m Movement Speed; Carrying Capacity 300kg

  • Horse (Riding) - 75 GP; 25m Movement Speed; Carrying Capacity 240kg

  • Horse (War) - 400 GP; 20m Movement Speed; Carrying Capacity 250kg

  • Mastiff - 25 GP; 10m Movement Speed; Carrying Capacity 100kg

  • Pony - 30 GP; 15m Movement Speed; Carrying Capacity 110kg

Mount Standard Items:

  • Bit and Bridle - 2 GP; 1kg of Weight

  • Carriage - 100 GP; 300kg of Weight

  • Cart - 15 GP; 100kg of Weight

  • Chariot - 250 GP; 1\50kg of Weight

  • Animal Feed (daily) - 5 CP; 5kg of Weight

  • Saddle (Exotic) - 60 GP; 20kg of Weight

  • Saddle (Military) - 25 GP; 15kg of Weight

  • Saddle (Pack) - 5 GP; 10kg of Weight

  • Saddle (Riding) - 10 GP; 10kg of Weight

  • Saddle (Elite) - 30 GP; 15kg of Weight

  • Saddlebags - 4 GP; 4kg of Weight

  • Sled - 20 GP; 150kg of Weight

  • Wagon - 35 GP; 200kg of Weight

Mount Item Rules

  • No Saddle - 1 Point of Exhaustion gained from riding a horse for a number of hours equal to or more than your Constitution Modifier without stopping to rest for at least an hour before starting again. The creatures gains another point for every hour after this it continues to ride.

  • Pack Saddle - Cannot carry a rider but adds carry weight for mount

  • Riding Saddle - Removes Exhaustion for riding for less than 8 hours

  • Elite Saddle - Increases the Movement Speed of the horse by 5m and increases any Saves by +1 for resisting effects that would knock you off your Mount

  • Military - Increase any Saves by +5 for resisting effects that would knock you off your Mount

  • Exotic - For Mounts other than horses or similar creatures

  • Saddlebags - Increases carry weight of horses

  • Bit and Bridle - Increases the Animal Handling or Land Vehicles rolls by +2

Mount Armor (Barding) - Utilizes the Mount’s Dexterity Modifier

  • Cloth Covering - 20 GP, 20kg, AC of 11 + Dexterity Modifier

  • Leather Armor - 40 GP, 20kg, AC of 13 + Dexterity Modifier

  • Basic Metal Armor - 200 GP, 40kg, AC of 15 + Dexterity Modifier (no higher than +2)

  • Scale Mail Armor - 400 GP, 50kg, AC of 17, cannot add Dexterity Modifier, Disadvantage on Stealth

  • Plate Armor - 6000 GP, 65 kg, AC of 19, cannot add Dexterity Modifier, Disadvantage on Stealth
